We are seeking an experienced Community Speech Pathologist to join a flexible, community-based role working exclusively with adult clients outside of the NDIS. This position offers a diverse caseload spanning rehab hospital work, aged care home visits, and private clients, providing strong clinical variety in a rewarding care model. The role offers flexibility in how you structure your week, making it an excellent option for a clinician looking for autonomy in their practice. To be considered, you will have a minimum of 1 year's experience working with adult clients and hold current AHPRA registration and SPA membership.
Responsibilities:
Assess and treat adult clients across rehab hospital, aged care (home visits), and private settings
Manage a varied community-based caseload covering communication and swallowing disorders
Conduct home visits for aged care clients in the community
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
Deliver services outside the NDIS framework, adapting to a fee-for-service or similar model
Provide goal-directed therapy tailored to adult rehabilitation and aged care needs
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working with adult clients in a Speech Pathology role
Experience across rehab, aged care, or community settings highly regarded
Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
Ability to manage an independent, community-based caseload
Current AHPRA registration as a Speech Pathologist
Certified Practising Member (CP) of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for home visits
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
