The Behaviour Support Practitioner provides assessment, intervention, and support services to clients under the NDIS framework, helping individuals with disability achieve their goals and improve quality of life. They develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and provide guidance and supervision where needed. The role also involves maintaining documentation, participating in professional development, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and best-practice standards.
Responsibilites:
Conduct behavioural assessments and set goals for clients under the NDIS framework
Develop, implement, and review individualised behaviour support plans to improve client outcomes
Provide guidance, supervision, and support to Allied Health Assistants and other junior staff
Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care
Monitor progress, document outcomes, and ensure compliance with organisational and NDIS requirement
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Psychology, or Behavioural Science
Demonstrated experience in providing behaviour support services within a disability or NDIS context
Experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing individualised behaviour support plans
Ability to implement interventions and monitor client progress
Experience providing supervision or guidance to junior staff or allied health assistants
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of NDIS framework, policies, and compliance requirements
