We are seeking experienced dual-registered midwives to join a supportive and dynamic maternity team in East Gippsland. This role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time contracts and the chance to achieve a genuine work/life balance while continuing to develop professionally. The position spans antenatal, birth suite, and postnatal care, working closely with a shared care model with GP Obstetricians. Midwives in this role will provide woman-centred care, addressing physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout the pregnancy and birth continuum.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert midwifery care across antenatal, birth suite, and postnatal settings
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting women-centred care
Manage obstetric emergencies with confidence and competence
Deliver care across the pregnancy and birth continuum, including domiciliary visits where required
Promote and support shared decision-making with women and their families
Identify, report, and manage clinical risks and incidents promptly
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
Expand professional knowledge by engaging with new models of care
Requirements;
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
Minimum of 4 years’ recent midwifery experience across a range of settings
Mandatory Level 2 Fetal Surveillance qualifications
Strong clinical skills across antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and community care
Ability to confidently manage complex or emergency situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to providing culturally safe and woman-centred care
