Up to $484k salary package
12 month fixed term
Deliver radiation therapy to cancer patients across Northern Tasmania, primarily in Launceston, with some work in Burnie.
Collaborate with other specialists through regular multidisciplinary team meetings.
Use modern radiation techniques, including stereotactic therapy.
Provide brachytherapy services statewide from Launceston.
Contribute to clinical trials and research if interested.
Work alongside radiation therapists, nurses, physicists, and trainees.
Participate in an on-call roster (negotiable).
Responsibilities:
Join a supportive team of five Radiation Oncologists plus an advanced trainee, reporting to the Head of Radiation Oncology.
Work in a collaborative workplace with strong leadership and mentoring.
Access modern facilities, including upgraded brachytherapy equipment and multiple linear accelerators.
Opportunities to upskill, particularly in brachytherapy techniques.
Requirements:
Qualified Radiation Oncologist
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Interest in brachytherapy techniques (opportunities for upskilling provided)
Strong communication and mentoring skills
