We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the Bairnsdale site. You will lead a team of approximately 30 staff, including a mix of clinical and peer support workers, reporting to 3 Team Leaders. As part of a wider leadership group of 8 Operations Managers, you will ensure high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across diverse programs supporting children, families, and vulnerable community members.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Bairnsdale site operations, including staff supervision, performance management, and professional development.
Manage a team of 3 Team Leaders and approximately 30 staff, ensuring effective service delivery across clinical and community support areas.
Oversee day-to-day operations of diverse programs including family strengthening, children out-of-home care, community engagement hubs, and prevention-focused initiatives.
Operationalize funding agreements and ensure compliance with State and Commonwealth requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using data and feedback from staff, clients, and stakeholders to optimize services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, community stakeholders, and government agencies.
Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are met across the site.
Requirements:
Proven leadership experience managing medium to large teams (preferably 30+ staff) in community services or related sectors.
Strong operational management skills, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance oversight.
Experience in programs addressing family, children, mental health, and/or community wellbeing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with staff, clients, and stakeholders effectively.
Values-driven approach, with high emotional intelligence and commitment to inclusive service delivery.
Understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
