The Occupational Therapist delivers high-quality, evidence-based, client-centred therapy to support individuals impacted by illness, injury or disability to achieve meaningful participation in their community. Working across clinic and community settings as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role involves assessment, goal setting, intervention planning, equipment prescription and outcome evaluation. The position requires collaboration with clients, families, carers and other professionals, completion of clinical documentation and outcome measures, and contribution to service targets and quality improvement. The Occupational Therapist practices in line with organisational values, professional standards and evidence-based practice, with opportunities for supervision, professional development and career growth.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients in clinic and community settings
Conduct assessments, develop goal-centred therapy plans, and implement and evaluate interventions
Support clients to improve functional independence and community participation
Prescribe and coordinate appropriate equipment and environmental modifications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated, person-centred care
Educate and support families and carers in safe and effective care strategies
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and outcome measures
Participate in case conferences, goal setting and clinical discussions
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA registration
Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for community-based work
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Sound time management and organisational skills
